Moore’s chip shop was bought by Maureen and Walter Moore in June 1977 when they decided they wanted a change of life style from their hectic city lives in Glasgow.
A year later their son Andrew was born and he took to the shop like a fish to water.
Maureen and Walter worked hard over the years to build the business to have a great reputation.
Andrew joined the shop full time when he left school in 1994 as it was second nature to him. Sadly in 1998 Walter passed away, giving son Andrew the opportunity to carry on his fathers hard work. Since then the business has went from strength to strength, always staying within the family tradition, with Andrew’s mother Maureen still working in the shop today. A dedicated and committed staff team, some of which have been there since day one, help to make the shop the thriving and most welcoming place it is today.
